By accessing or using PAL (the 'Service'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms'). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
PAL is a guided journalling and self-reflection application that uses AI to support personal emotional exploration. The Service provides daily check-ins, structured prompts, and AI-generated follow-up questions to facilitate self-reflection.
PAL is not a mental health service, therapy, or medical product. It is not a substitute for professional mental health support. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please contact a qualified healthcare professional or emergency service immediately.
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

PAL offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected). By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial periods, except where required by applicable law.
You retain ownership of the journal entries, reflections, and other content you create through the Service ('Your Content'). By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you.
We do not use Your Content to train AI models. Your journal entries are private and are not shared with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service, including its design, features, text, graphics, and software, is owned by PAL and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our express written permission.
The Service is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PAL disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PAL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the 'last updated' date at the top of this page and notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
